In the name of ‘Save Visakha’, YSRCP is organizing a maha dharna today.

YSRCP president and leader of the opposition in the Legislative Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will participate and address the large gathering.

YSRCP is demanding a CBI probe in the land scam instead of a probe by SIT. Initially, the party planned to organize dharna at the Collectorate but the authorities had denied permission on the ground of law and order and suggested to hold it at the Gandhi statue near GVMC. The party cadre has prepared to construct a dias at Lal Bahudhur Sastry at a distance of 20 feet from Gandhi statue. Police top officials visited the place and objected of constructing a dias there at. They even suggested to construct a dias near NS Reddy statute. The party district president Gudivada Gurunath informed the DCP (Law and Order) Naveen Gulati, Traffic ADCP Mahendra Patrudu and ACP Annepu Narasimha Murty that it could cause inconvenience to the bus passenger but left unheard.

MP V.Vijay Sai Reddy, party senior leader Botcha Satyanarayana tried to convenience the officials but failed. The leaders said that despite any obstructions that are being created, they would make a grand success without causing any inconvenience to the passengers.

Vijay Sai Reddy said that the investigation by SIT in the land scam is a hallow and the real culprits would come out only with the CBI probe. The SIT investigation is not acceptable as the role of Ministers, MLAs in the scam is allegedly involved. He alleged that the land scam involves three to four lakh crores worth of lands involving Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, his son and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and his son-in-law Prashant, Parachoori Bhaskara Rao, a relative of Ganta Srinivasa Rao, MLAs Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, Peela Govinda, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murty and his son, Panchakarla Ramesh Babu, Anitha.
