The TDP scripted the drama in the Parliament to put the BJP on the back foot so that it gains an upper hand to dictate terms for seat sharing with the latter in the 2019 general and Assembly elections, said BJP MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju.

He alleged that the TDP was indulging in false propaganda to make the BJP the villain and also to woo Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan into its fold as he was of late, not in good terms with the ruling party. On Polavaram project, he clarified that on November 30, Chandrababu Naidu said that the Central government asked the State to stop the Polavaram project to gai sympathy. But, the ground reality is that the Centre had only asked the State the tendering process to be stopped as there were some discrepancies, he said.

TDP MPs were stating that nothing had been done to the State by raising the issues such as SCS and separate railway zone, but they were not highlighting the Central government that had sanctioned Rs.6.8 lakh houses of the poor. Similarly, Rs.22,000 crore was sanctioned for MGNREGA in the last three years, he said. Vishnu Kumar Raju took exception to N.Sivaprasad, Chittoor MP staging a protest without shirt and also Galla Jayadev addressing Modi as ‘Mr.Prime Minister’.
