24 express trains cancelled due to heavy rains in North East

As many as 24 express trains originating in North Eastern States and bound for the south and those going to the return direction have been cancelled in view of heavy rains causing breaches.

Train No. 15905 Kanyakumari-Dibrugarh Vivek Express from Kanyakumari will be restored on September 14 and 15906 Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express will be restored from Dibrugarh on September 23.

Sources said that it was decided to run the following special trains for the en-route passengers-06905 Kanyakumari-Santragachhi on September 7, 06906 Santragachhi-Kanyakumari special from Santragachi on September 11, 06553 Bengaluru-Howrah special from Howrah on September 10, 02513 Secunderabad-Howrah special from Secunderabad on September 10, 02514 Howrah-Secunderabad special from Howrah on September 12, 07149 Secunderabad-Howrah special from Secunderabad on September 8 and Howrah-Secunderabad special from Howrah on September 10.
