Actress Jamuna to get ‘Navarasa Kala Vani’ title

Former MP and actor Jamuna will be presented with the title ‘Navarasa Kala Vani’ at a function being organized by T.Subbarami Reddy Lalithakala Parishant at the Port Kalavani auditorium on September 17.

Subbarami Reddy said that senior artistes were presented awards by the Parishat and heads of religious institutions and temples were being felicitated as part of his birthday celebrations on September 17. The celebrations were being organized for the last two decades.

Jamuna was chosen to mark her ‘diamond jubilee film career. A galaxy of film starts like Sridevi, Jayapradha, Jayasudha, B.Saroja Devi and Sumalatha, playback singers, political leaders and others are expected to participate the event.

The meeting would be preceded by a cultural evening with songs from the old films of Jamuna-ANR-NTR hits by playback and stage singers.
