Distribution of notebooks marks ‘Vidya Vikasam’

Vizag Brahmins’ Welfare Society in association with Vanamamalai Matham, Tamil Nadu today distributed a total of 35,000 notebooks at the ‘Vidya Vikasam’ programme held at Port Kalavani Auditorium.

Vanamamalai Peethadipati Sri Ramanuja Jeer Swamy complimented the society for its service. Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation Chairman and former Chief Secretary I.Y.R.Krishna Rao said the corporation was endeavoring for helping students pursue education though it was difficult to provide scholarships with the Rs.200 crore allocated during the last three years.

City Police Commissioner T.Yoganand received the blessings of the Swamiji. Former Government Whip Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao lauded the services of the society. CMR Group MD Mavoori Venakata Ramana announced a contribution of Rs.5 lakh for the Kalyanamandapam being constructed by the corporation.
