Dr.VRSK Prasad appointed as Director of Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy

The Centre has appointed Dr.V.S.R.K.Prasad as the Director of the newly established Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy known as Petroleum University. He will be in the post for a period of five years.

Dr. Prasad was a former professor of Andhra University in the Department of Chemical Engineering for thirty years and subsequently took VRS and joined as Principal of ANITS Engineering College. With a vast experience over 30 years in the academic administration, last year in the month of April, 2016 he was appointed as Advisor-Academics of IIPE with a task of establishing the IIPE at Visakhapatnam. He is also the Chairman of State Expert Appraisal Committee which is responsible for giving environmental clearance to the industry.
