Government raises the retirement age of the staff of GCC to 60 years

The retirement age for the staff working at Girijan Cooperative Corporation has been increased to 60 years.

Minister for Tribal Welfare Nakka Ananda Babu said that a decision was taken to implement PRC with 43 per cent fitment for them. At a review meeting with the GCC officials and participated in the 60th anniversary celebrations of GCC at the VUDA Children Arena today, he announced to decision of the enhancement of retirement age.

The Minsiter announced a decision was taken to enhance the salaries for contract employees from the present Rs.5,500 to Rs.12,000 and for daily employees from Rs.3,000 to Rs.6,000. Efforts are being made to fill the vacant posts in the Corporation with outsourced employees, he said. The ‘Araku Instant Coffee’ would be launched in December.
