NSUI leader says that government is trying to privatize education

The National Students Union of India national president Amrita Dhawan said that the government is trying to privatize education.

She was here to participate in a two-day State level training camp for the NSUI committee members. The newly elected NSUI committee members were trained during the two day programme. Privatization was nothing but systematic killing of the autonomy of universities. At a time when transparency in the administration and inclusive of development had become the catch words, an atmosphere for fear an threat was being created in universities. She said that those questioning the same were being dubbed as anti-national.

She said that the State government had miserably failed to implement its poll promises given to youth like provision of employment, unemployment allowance to the jobless and fee reimbursement.
