RINL cancels field assistant trainee examination

The RINL has announced the last minute cancellation of Field Assistant post examination on Sunday leaving over 35,000 candidates to shock.

According to sources, a record number of 77,000 candidates had submitted their applications online with the qualification of matriculation/SSC pass for 91 posts of field assistant trainee. Those who came to appear for the examination on Sunday were in for a surprise when they were asked to leave the examination centres. They were told that they could not receive the question paper sets from Delhi by flight on time. The examination was supposed to have been conducted at 45 centres in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam district in the afternoon session.

RINL sources said that the flight from Delhi was cancelled, they could not receive the question papers on time resulting in cancellation of the examination. They said that a new date for the examination will be notified later.

The recruitment test is for 645 posts of junior trainee with ITI/engineering diploma qualification went on in the morning successfully.

CITU calls for protest:: CITU has given a call to the unemployed youth to lay siege to the administrative office of RINL at Ukkunagaram on Monday. CITU affiliated Steel Plant Employees’ Union president and vice president said that the protest would be organized from 8am. They said while the field assistant trainee examination was cancelled for failure to receive question papers on time, wrong question papers given at Anakapalle and other centres for the junior trainee examination.
