TDP Mahanadu – Bhumi puja performed

The Bhumi puja was performed today at the AU Engineering College grounds for the Telugu Desam Party’s annual Mahanadu scheduled from May 27 to 29.

Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister N.Chinarajappa, who performed the puja along with party State president and Minister for Power Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao. He said that permission was obtained for holding the meeting. He said that ‘the GO disallowing political meetings in universities was given by the TDP government in 2015. But since, holidays have been declared, there will not be any disturbance, he said. Referring to YSRCP objecting citing the GO and stating that permission was denied to two of its meetings at the same grounds and other university venues, he said it should be an issue for any party provided the meetings were planned during holidays.
