Transport department conducts special drive for permit violations

The Transport department will conduct a drive from Wednesday to check buses registered to other States violating rules.

Deputy Transport Commissioner S.Venkateswara Rao said any vehicle registered in a particular State that has an All India Permit or National permit can operate to any other State but either the starting point to the ending point of operations has to be invariably be in the home State, where the bus was registered. He said that notices were already issued to the bus operators. The drive would be organized to ensure that there were no violations.
