Visakhapatnam Steel Plant will order a probe into bloomers in question papers

The RINL, corporate entity of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant will order a probe in the question papers for the all-India written test conducted for recruitment of Management Trainees on June 25.

There was a tough contest for the 302 posts in the RINL where a career is considered quite promising. The trainees are included in the scale of Junior Managers with a CTC of around Rs.7.5 lakh per annum. The company admitted to receiving complaints. ’We are waiting for reports form invigilators from various centres in the country. Based on the reports on different sets of questions, we will take a dcision’, said an official.

Youth INTUC district general secretary J.Mohan Kumar said that questions from 68 to 73 got repeated in 95 to 100, there were no questions against 107 and 108. ‘In English grammar, questions containing 20 marks were allegedly published in Hindi. Not only should the management punish the guilty for the unpardonable bloomers but also conduct a fresh examination’, he said. The test consisted reasoning, numerical, verbal, general awareness and general English besides subject-wise questions.

Of the 98,971 candidates who applied for the Management Trainee and the Junior Medical Officer test, 71, 893 candidates have taken up the test. It may be recalled that Steel Plant Management Trainee test papers full of mistakes.
