• Achievers Day:: As a part of business club annual valedictory function, Integral Institute of Advanced Management organized ‘achievers Day’ on its campus on Wednesday. Those excelled in academics were given away certificates and prizes. DGB (projects) of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant K.V.Rao was the chief guest.

• Swachh Bharat book released:: MP K.Haribabu on Tuesday released a book on 50 days of Swachh Bharat. BJYM national council member Adari Kishore Kumar, who had been carrying out Swachh Bharat activity for 74 days met the MP at his office.

• Workshop on medical teachers begins:: The fifth revised basic course and ATCOM workshop for training in medical education technology for teachers is being head at the AMC. The four-day workshop was inaugurated by AMC Principal P.V.Sudhar, KGH Superintendent G.Arjuna. The AMC is the only Medical Council of India regional centre for training in the State and covers 17 colleges.

• Court extends remand of tainted official Gangadharam:: The ACB Special Court here on Wednesday extended the judicial remand of Maley Gangadharam, engineer-in-chief (administration) of R&B till May 9. It may be recalled that the accused was arrested by ACB under disproportionate assets case on April 2. The court has fixed the further hearing on April 28.
