Sri Krishna Janmastami celebrated

Krishna Janmastami was celebrated with festive fervor at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan on Saturday. Tiny tots of pre-primary school dressed up in costume of Krishna, Radha and Gopikas and presented a beautiful dance drama depicting Lord Krishna’s childhood.

Elected chief of boat operators’ association

The general body of AP Mechanized Fishing Boat Operators’ Association today unanimously elected P.C.Appa Rao for 13th time as the president, Boat owners M.Ramudu, Junjan Kumar, Yella Rao and others later felicitated Rao who in his replay said he would continue to serve the boat operators and fishermen cooperative society members for improvement in their livelihood conditions.

Million Dollar Round Table, an international institute of financial professionals has nominated LIC insurance advisor Ravi Varma Ganapathiraju to the Membership Communications Committee as the State chair for Andhra Pradesh. After his nomination, Varma has been invited to attend a meeting of MCC zone 4-South Asia in Mumbai on September 23 and 24.

Indira Gandi Zoological Park to get two more elephants

Indira Gandhi Zoological Park will soon get another two female elephants from Aurangabad zoo as per the directions of the Central Zoo Authority. The zoo has one biggest elephant enclosures where two male tuskers are kept in a ten-acre area.

Andhra workers stranded in Muscat

Another construction company in Oman has turned bankrupt evading the wages to 300 odd Indian workers most of them belonging to the two Telugu speaking States. Some workers hailing from Srikakulam district stranded for the past four months alleged the management of Petron, a construction firm had stopped paying them wages. Meanwhile, relatives of some of the workers are planning to send an SoS.
