Two drown in Yarada beach

Two persons including an infant, drowned in Yarada Beach on Saturday evening. The deceased have been identified as N.Rajasekhar (34) an NRI and a native of Vijayawada while his four year old son was identified as N.Shourya. According to police sources, Rajasekhar had come to his in-laws house at Kurmannapalem to see his second son who was born recently. On Saturday evening, he and ahis first son Shourya, wife and a few other family members came to Yarada beach. He and his son went for swimming where the father-son duo were pulled by deeper by strong waves.

Principal in ACB net

Principal of the State-run Gurukula Pathasala at Atchutapuram Solomon Raju was caught red handed while he allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000 from a contract teacher on Saturday. According to ACB sources, the accused demanded the bribe for extending the term of the contract teacher.

World Honey Bee day

Several bankers today came forward to fund tribals for promotion of bee keeping in the Agency areas. At the World Honey Bee Day celebrations held today, NABARD District Development Manager, Joint Director of Agriculture Shiva Prasad, Lead District Manager Sharat Babu and SBI Chief Manager Ratna Kumar pledged their support to lend financial assistance for promoting bee keeping in a big way.

Steel City declares 20% dividend

Vizag based Steel City Securities Limited, a NSE listed company has announced final dividend of 20% for 2016-17. At the AGM held on Saturday, a decision was taken to this effect. At present, SCSL is operating 5,000 over branches in over 1,000 cities across the country with two lakh trading agents. The company earned net revenue of Rs.5.02 crore out of Rs.1 crore on e-governance business.
