MP Haribabu appreciates HSL’s efforts

Visakhapatnam MP inaugurating the new system installed at the HSL on Saturday that was commissioned a State of the art biometric access control and time and attendance recording system. He appreciated the significant efforts made by the management towards improving productivity as well as to boost the morale of workforce.

DLSA notices to EPDCL

Senior Civil Judge and Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority S.Damodara Rao has issued notices to the Superintending Engineer and Assistant Engineer of APEPDCL to appear before him and file a counter on a complaint filed by Bobbili Mutyala Naidu on the amputation of his left hand due to electrocution. ON May 9 this year, Mutyala Naidu went to work at the house of N.Venkata Giri. In the course of work, he came to contact with a high tension wire, passing above the house resulting in the amputation of his left hand. His kidney was also damaged.

Ganja seized and four arrested

Four persons were arrested and 45 kgs of ganja was seized form their possession by the City Task Force Police at Gokhul theater junction on Sunday. The CTF team led by ACP I.Chittibabu apprehended G.Bhagavan of Dumbriguda mandal, Ashok Kumar, Ajay Singh and Subash of Ujjaini district in MP were alleged transporting ganja.

LA Disputes Authority

Retired District Judge V.Jayasurya on Sunday assumed charge as Presiding Officer of Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority. The Authority will have jurisdiction over Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and East Godavari districts. It will deal with compensation and resettlement issues arising out of land acquisition in four districts.

Award for ‘Badamgir’ Sai

Founder president of cultural association ‘Rangasai’ AVVS Murty has been selected for Tanguturi Prakasam Award of ‘Rasanjali’ of Hyderabad in recognition of his service to theatre. The award will be given away at a function in Hyderabad on August 23.
