Civic workers to step up agitation against GO 279

Agitation against GO 279 that affected municipal workers will continue until it is scrapped and workers will on state-wide strike from September 15, CITU State president Ch.Narasinga Rao has said. Addressing members of the GVMC Contract Workers’ Union affiliated to CITU at Gandhi statue on Wednesday, he said though they were agitating the GO for 20 months, the government was indifferent.

Department of Chemical Engineering, Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences organized an expert lecture on ‘Indian fertilizer scenario-PROM Technology on Wednesday. The lecture was delivered by D.M.R.Sekhar, director of CEEC International Limited, Australia.

Vigilance and Enforcement Department of Food Safety seizes expired milk products

In a joint raid by Vigilance and Enforcement Department, Food Safety wing of GVMC and Civil Supplies seized milk products that had crossed the expiry dates on Wednesday. They raided the premises of P.Suryakumari Agencies located at VUDA colony at Madhavadhara and seized the products and took its owner Ganesh Kumar into custody.
