MVVS Murty supports DCI employees’ demand

TDP MLC MVVS Murty called on the striking employees of DCI at the Three Horse Junction today and said Chief Minister had promised to take up the demand to withdraw the decision to privatise with the Central Government. He gave an indication that TDP MPs would raise the issue in the ensuing session of Parliament.

Stone laid for modern jaggery plant

Vice Chancellor of Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University Vallabhaneni Damodar Naidu today laid foundation stone for modern jaggery plant building at the Regional Agricultural Research at Anakapalle. The building will be constructed at a cost of Rs.20 lakh. He said that Indian Council for Agricultural Research sanctioned Rs.30 lakh for research and standardisation and improvements to the modern jaggery plant.

Ganta Srinivasa Rao unveils new logo of IIM-V

A new logo of the Indian Institute of Management, Visakhapatnam was launched by HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the State government was keen on collaborating with overseas universities. He assured the institute of the government support.

Scrapping of GO 279 demanded

VMC Contract Workers’ Union affiliated to CITU has threatened to go on strike from December 18 if GO 279 is not scrapped. Workers went on a dharna at the Gandhi Statue near GVMC on their demand.
