Walk with Jagan

In the ‘Walk with Jagan’ coinciding with Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra compelting 1,000 km, the party city president Malla Vijaya Prasad and Visakhaptnam Lok Sabha constituency unit president Tyanala Vijay Kumar participated in the walk from Kancharapalem Mettu to Old ITI junction.

Huge haul of ganja

Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials held search operations and detained a goods carriage on the premises of Umesh Singh Shaba, near Kasimkota in the district on Sunday. During the search, the officials recovered 387 kgs of cannabis. The contraband was said to be brought from G.Madugula and was being transported to Madurai. The value of the seized ganja in the grey market would be around Rs.58 lakh.

Man strangles wife to death

A man allegedly killed his wife at Vemagottipalem area under Anandapuram police station limits over family dispute according to police sources. The deceased was identified as M.Eswaramma(29) while her husband M.Koteswara Rao, a lorry cleaner. The deceased was married in 2005 and for the past few years, there was a dispute between the couple over family and financial issues. On Sunday night, the accused indulged in a heated argument with his wife and strangled her to death and later surrendered before the police.

Police medal for officer

Ch.V.Narendra Deve, Deputy Superintendent of Police, CBI, Visakhapatnam was awarded Indian Police Medal for meritorious service on the occasion of Republic Day. He had put in 29 years of service and has been working at Visakhapatnam since 2009.
