ENC cross country meet

Eastern Naval Command Cross Country Championship 2017-18 was held at INS Dega on Saturday. All ships and establishments of Eastern Naval Command including outstations units from Tamil Nadu area took part in the event. The cross-country was conducted over a distance of 12 km within the premises of the Naval Air Station, INS Dega and the participants were grouped into seven teams of 12 runners each. Anju Kumar won the title while Ramod Dhakad stood as runners-up.

Blood donation camp held

P.Bhogeswara Rao has been elected president of Rotary Club of Visakha Port City. He organized a blood donation camp at Rotary Blood Bank to mark the occasion here today. Rotary governor-elect G.Viswanath, club past president K.S.Narayana, Rotary International district public image chairman LK Murty and others participated.

Book exo

Telugu Academy is hosting a book exhibition cum sales at its regional centre near AU Dr.Ambedkar Assembly Hall. Book lovers can find over 500 titles at the venue and can also avail discount up to 50 per cent. Books of various genres are available at the centre.

Walkathon organized

The Visakhapatnam branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India celebrated the 68th CA Day celebrations on Saturday. Chairman B.Venkata Rao unfurled the ICAI flag and a ‘go green’ walkathon was organized to mark the occasion. A blood donation camp was organized in which members and students donated blood. Literacy kits were distributed to student of Mandal Parishad Primary schools at Tunivalasa and Narasapuram villages in Vizianagaram districts as part of CA Day. A meeting on ‘Code of ethics’ was conducted.
