102 students participate in Swachh contests

As part of its ongoing ‘Swachchata Pakhwada’, HPCL on Friday organized essay writing and painting competitions to the trainees of the AP Social Welfare Junior College, Sri Krishna Puram. A total of 102 students participated in the contests and exhibited their resolve to see India neat and clean. Nawaaz and Salma of Skill Development Institute have coordinated the programmes.

Dak Adalat on July 28

The 98th Dak Adalat will be held at the office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Visakhapatnam Division at 3pm on July 28. Complaints pertaining to mails, speed post articles, parcels and counter services among others should be sent to M.Hari Prasad Sarma, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Visakhapatnam Division before July 25.

Wi-Fi enabled PoS machines launched

VGS GST Solutions launched Wi-Fi enabled PoS machines today. The products, a one-stop solution for traders and businessmen and the Joint Commissioner of State Tax K.Nagendra said the devices comprise features such as digital signature service and provide convenient methods to tax payers to file the returns independently. After the GST rollout, some of the traders still find it a complex process to upload the invoices and file the returns. However, with the launch of ‘Easy Bill DRI’ and ‘Easy Bill P3’ devices, billing and filling of returns turns into a hassle-free exercise, he said.

Faculty programme

A faculty knowledge programme will be organized by IBS-ICFAI Business School here on Saturday. Principals and Head of the Departments from various engineering and other colleges will take part in the programme. The forum is open to participants from Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts.
