Certificate verification for AU admissions begin

Andhra University has commenced the certificate verification for those who cleared the AUCET and AUEET from today. The certificates are being verified at the Online Admission Centre, opposite school of Distance Education, Visakhapatnam, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar University, Etcherla, Srikakulam, Gayatri College of Science and Management, Munasabpeta, Srikakulam, Ideal College of Arts and Sciences and PG courses, Vidyutnagar, Kakinada and S.R.R. and C.V.R. Government Degree College, Vijayawada.

CRZ violation – action demanded against hotelier

Former IAS officer and social activist E.A.S.Sarma has sought a probe in to a new hotel that came up on Beach Road allegedly drawing water from a bore well in violation of Coastal Zone Regulation guidelines. In a representation to the Collector Pravin Kumar and VUDA Vice-Chairman Basanth Kumar and GVMC Commissioner Hari Narayanan, he said that the construction and drawing of bore well water was in violation of CRZ norms and the directions of the AP High Court in its order dated October 8, 2012 in WP No.167/2012. He said that the structure violates VUDA’s Master Plan also.
