Cycles distributed to girl students

Bicycles were distributed to girls, studying in Telugu medium at the AU High School by Andhra University Registrar V.Umamaheswara Rao today. The bicycles were given by the State government with the objective of promoting the education of girl child. School headmistress K.Salomee and teachers were present.

Event to mark Father’s Day

An event ‘Nannaku Premato’, will be organized on the occasion of Father’s Day at VUDA Children’s Arena on Sunday. V-Team would felicitate fathers who have completed 80 years of age. Yoga day celebrations

The State government has planned yoga day celebrations in all schools, offices, institutes and private organizations to commemorate the International Yoga Day on June 21. As part of this, DSDO, District Sports Authority, Visakhapatnam in coordination with the District Yoga Association is imparting free yoga training classes at several places like Swarna Bharati Indoor Stadium in the city till June 20.

DCI staff stages Black badge protest

The employees of DCI today attended duties wearing black badges to demonstrate their resentment against Central government’s plan for privatization of DCI. All employees staged a peaceful protest during lunch break and after working hours in front of the DCI Administrative office to show their solidarity and oppose the alleged move to privatize DCI.

Interactive meeting with IAS topper Gopala Krishna Ronanaki

The Uttarandhra Cultural Vikasa Vedika will organize an interactive session with Gopala Krishna Ronanaki who secured all-India third rank in the civil services examination this year on Saturday at YVS Auditorium from 11am. He will interact with students, youth and civil service aspirants and narrate his experiences and steps he had taken to clear the examination.
