Photo exhibition

A photography exhibition is being organized by GVMC Visakha Museum in association with K.Bhaskara Rao, an accredited freelance photographer at the museum on the Beach Road in the city on Saturday and Sunday. AU Vice Chancellor G.Nageswara Rao would inaugurate the exhibition. The exhibition is open to the public from 12noon to 8pm on both the days.

Bank ATM opened

The Kanakamahalakshmi Cooperative Bank Ltd opened an ATM at NAD Kotha Road Junction branch. The ATM was inaugurated by bank founder chairman P.Raghunatha Rao.

Plantation drive

To mark the World Environment Day 2017, Essar Foundation of Essar Group and the Hindu will jointly organize a planation drive on Monday. The green initiative, highlighting the current year’s theme. ‘Connection People to Nature’, is being hosted at AP Tribal Welfare Residential School, Marikavalasa at Kommadi at 8am on Monday.

AIRTWF meet on Sunday

The Centre is trying to weaken the transport sector by bringing in the Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Act. The new law will undermine the role of State Transport Undertakings and will be detrimental to the interests of both transport workers and owners, said All India Road Transport Workers Federation president and vice-president. The AIRTWF conference will be held on June 4 to 6 at Kalabharati in the city.
