Fulbright award for GITAM director

Director in-charge of GITAM School of Gandhian Studies, GITAM university B.Nalini has been awarded the coveted Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Fellowship-2017. She will be visiting Fulbright researcher at the Department of International Studies, University of Nebraska.

Ronanki Gopala Krishna visits AMC

IAS topper Ronanki Gopala Krishna who secured the all-India third rank in Civil services examination visited Andhra Medical College and interacted with students and staff on Friday. He clarified the doubts raised by students ad told them that hard work was the only key to success. Principal, P.V.Sudhakar, Vice-Principal T.Padmavati and C.Jayaraj and others were present.

Three day architecture show begins

The 14th edition of Architecture, Interiors Expo-2017 was inaugurated at Hotel Novotel by Lok Sabha Member K.Haribabu. He said that bringing together all construction materials and interior designs would help take up construction in a better manner. The show is being organized by Indian Institute of Architects, Visakhapatnam Chapter in association with Indian Interior Designers. Around 50 companies have set up 70 stalls showcasing their products.

Coast Guard rescues stranded fishing boat

A mechanized fishing boat stranded at sea was rescued by the Indian Coast Guard off Kakinada in the early hours of Friday. MFB Mohan Raju was stranded on the high seas due to a mechanical breakdown. The 20 metre long fishing boat registered in Tamil Nadu had set out for fishing on June 16 from Nagapatnam. On June 22, the Operations Centre at the District Headquarters observed and monitored a stationary contact for five to six hours a found that it was stranded due to a technical failure according to a statement. The headquarters directed a Kakinada based Coast Guard ship to proceed to the spot and render assistance.

’Liv Up’ seminar at Hotel Gateway
