Blood donation camps

Rotaract Club of Visakha Satellite City in association with V-Save, GVP Helping Hands, Unity Degree College, Sree Kasyap Unite, St.Joseph’s College for Women and Gitam University will organize ‘Praanam’ Rotaract blood donation week from June 10 to 15. Blood donation camps will be held at Beach Corridor, airport, Victoria Hospital and CMR Central.

Jewellery expo inaugurated

A jewellery expo featuring a wide contemporary collection is on at Hotel Novotel. The exhibition that is being organized by United Exhibition was inaugurated by upcoming actor and model Jenny Honey. The 46th edition of jewellery expo boasts of creativity, royalty and artistic endeavors of India’s most gifted designers under one roof. It will be on till June 11.

Tech workshop

St.Joseph’s College for Women conducted an intensive technology enabled workshop exploring multidimensional learning like digital storytelling on Friday. Meenakshi Uberoi, founding director of De Pedagogics, New Delhi was the trainer facilitator. Ramani Dhanraj, HoD, Department of Office Management, coordinated the workshop.

Yoga week at Andhra University

In the run-up of International Yoga Day, the Department of Yoga and Consciousness, Andhra University is celebrating ‘yoga week’ by organizing various programmes from June 18 to 21. A poster release programme will be held on June 12.

AU special fee category admissions

Andhra University has invited applications for admissions into various courses such as MA, M.Com. and M.Sc., under special category fee structure. Application form, admission information brochure, fee and eligibility details are available in the website http://www.andhrauniversity.edu.in/doa or http://www.audoa.in. Filled in application along with the requisite fee for each course should reach the office of the Directorate of Admissions on or before June 30 before 5pm.

Maersk Line launches new service to Nepal

Maersk Line has launched a container service from here to Nepal and the first shipment left on June 6 for ICD, Birgunj according to a press release. The release said that 'Chennai Express; will call on Visakhapatnam once in a week for the service to Nepal. Franck Dedenis, managing director of Maersk said the new service would be cost-effective with greater ease of business and efficiency.
