VR Chits victims seek compensation

VR Chits and Finance Victims’ Welfare Association has demanded a compensation of Rs.5 lakh each to depositor who died after it wound up. Association honorary president and former corporator Botta Eswaramma and secretary Chella Rao said VR Chits wound up 13 years ago and till now 200 depositors died. The State government had recently issued a GO on payment of compensation to victims of AgriGold company.

GVMC Contractors’ Association elections

In the election to GVMC Contractors’ Association, G.Chandra Mouli has been elected general secretary unanimously and R.Narasinga Rao and Ch.Raju as treasurer ad joint treasurer. After withdrawals, Sanapala Vara Prasad has been elected organizing secretary and P.V.Satyam and G.Narayana Rao as joint secretaries. Election to the other posts will be held on May 21.

Get fitness certificates for school buses

School managements have to apply afresh for fitness certificates for school buses as their validity expired on May 15. Deputy Transport Commissioner S.Venkateswara Rao said fresh fitness certificates had to be taken for 2017-18 by registering online and paying the fee at Madhavadhara or Gambhiram offices.
