The following will be the prices of petrol and diesel on Friday as per the dynamic pricing system. BPCL petrol Rs.72.37 per lite and diesel Rs.62.54. HPCL petro Rs.72.39 while diesel Rs.62.57. IOL petrol Rs.72.37 while diesel 62.54.

AU inks pact with ENC

Andhra University signed an MoU with Eastern Naval Command in presence of AU Vice Chancellor G.Nageswara Rao at AU Academic Senate Hall on Thursday. Registrar V.Uma Maheswara Rao and Chief of Staff of the ENC Vice Admiral Atul Kumar Jain signed the papers. The MoU will aid in pursuing studies at the university and fulfilling the aspirations of the defence personnel.

Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy hundi collection crosses Rs.1 crore

The hundi collection at Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy has crossed Rs.1 crore mark during the last 13 days. The amount was received during Chandanotsavam. The total amount offered by devotees was Rs.1,01,50,758. This is in addition to gold offerings of 133 gm and silver articles weighing nearly eight kg.

GVMC Commissioner leaving for US

GVMC Commissioner M.Hari Narayanan will participate in the ‘Smart Cities NYC 17’ conference to be held from May 3 to 6 in Brooklyn. Visakhapatnam is one of the three cities for which the USA is extending assistance for preparing a master plan for development as smart city.

GPS Murty is the in-charge of NIO

Senior Principal Scientist G.P.S.Murty has taken over as scientist-in-charge of National Institute of Oceanography, Visakhapatnam regional centre. The post fell vacant following appointment of V.S.N.Murty as acting director of NIO headquarter at Dona Paula.

GAT-2017 results announced

GITAM university Vice Chancellor M.S.Prasada Rao released the GAT 2017 results today. He said that the top 10 rankers will be exempted from tuition fee for the first year and rankers from 11-100 rank can avail 50 per cent waiver on tuition fee for the first year. The rankers can down load the counselling call letters by logging on to the website www.gitam.edu. They can appear for the counselling scheduled to begin from May 15 to 18 in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Tirupati, Vijayawada and Bengaluru.
