American Gandhi visits school

Bernie Meyer, popularly known as ‘American Gandhi’ interacted with the students of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan on Tuesday. He spoke on non-violence as the only answer for global peace and increasing threat of nuclear weapons. He encouraged the young to think for world peace. School director Vasu Prakash urged the children to take the American Gandhi who has been preaching Gandhian principles in Gandhian attire for the last 43 years as an inspiration.

Home Guard dies in an accident

A Home Guard, working at Araku Valley Police Station died on the sport when his motorcycle collided with an autorickshaw at Ralligedda junction in Dumbriguda mandal in the Agency area on Tuesday. The police arrested the autorickshaw driver and seized the vehicle.

Best start-up mentor award presented

Singapore based Govin Capital Pte Ltd founder and CEO Anand Govindaluri has been conferred the best start-up mentor award by Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow. Govindaluri set up Startup Accelerator India at Sunrise Startup Hub here.

INS Sukanya in Indonesia

INS Sukanya under the command of Commander SA Deodhar, NM arrived at Belawan Indonesia on Tuesday to participate in the 30th edition of Coordinated Patrol and 3rd bilateral exercise between Indian Navy and the Indonesian Navy. The exercise is aimed to foster closer maritime ties with countries located on the rim of the Indian Ocean. The upcoming bi-lateral exercise CORPAT scheduled from October 24 to November 5 is a demonstration of India’s commitment to its ties with Indonesia and to the maritime security in the Indian Ocean region.
