Expo gets under way

A nine-day exhibition ‘Cool Comforts’ by Co-Optex got underway at TTD Kalyana Mandapam on Saturday. A wide range of organic cotton saris, towels and home furnishing products form a part of the fair which will remain open from 10am to 8pm.

Diploma course in retrial management

A free one-year Diploma course in ‘Retail Management and IT’ is being offered by the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra of UGC at BVK College here. Candidates who have passed Intermediate are eligible to apply for the course. Details can be had by contacting at the DDU Kaushal Kendra, located at BVK College, Dwarakanagar in person.

Onam Sadya festival

A special traditional feast of ‘Onam Sadya’ will be hosted at the Gateway Hotel’s GAD restaurant on September 3 and 4. The ‘Onam Sadya’ will be served during lunch hours on both the days. A beautiful floral rangoli in the hotel along with the King Maveli’ are the added attractions of the event. The ‘Onam Sadya’ will include vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes and will be served in traditional way at the restaurant in plantain leaf. The timings for the feast are 12 noon to 3pm.

Top official visits SAMEER project

AP Bhavan Resident Commissioner and senior IAS officer Pravin Prakash on Saturday visited the construction site of the Centre of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects at Gambhiram. During his review, officials of the Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineer and Research, District Collector Pravin Kumar and STPI Joint Director M.P.Dubey briefed him about the progress and told him that almost 90% of construction was over.
