Campaign vehicles on fevers flagged off

Action will be taken if cases of dengue and sw3ine flu reported in private hospitals are not informed to DM&HO, District Collector Pravin Kumar has said. He flagged off 11 campaign vehicles of the Medical and Health Department today to create awareness on seasonal fevers.

Blood donation camp held

NSS unit of Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology organized a blood donation camp on its campus at Jonnada, Vizianagaram on Tuesday. The camp was supported by A.S.Raja Voluntary Blood Bank, NTR Blood Bank and Red Cross Blood Bank.

Adulterated ediable oil racket bused

The Vigilance and Enforcement department officials in association with Civil Supplies Department today conducted a raid and busted a gang involved in making adulterated edible oil at HB Colony. The officials held K.Ravindra Reddy, prime accused in the oil adulteration racket. They seized over 2,000 litres of the adulterated oil and an oil tanker.

Chief Minister promises held to acid attack victim Dr.Bhushan Patnaik

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu spoke to the District Collector Pravin Kumar and conveyed his decision to extend help from the government to acid attack victim Dr.Bhushan Patnaik. At present, the doctor is undergoing treatment in Mumbai. The Collector spoke to the relatives there who said they would seek the help, if required.
