ACB raids on SR’s office – summon document writers

The Anti Corruption Bureau officials summoned seven document writers from the Sub Registrar’s office in Super Bazar for questioning pertaining to the surprise check by the Agency.

Tit may be recalled that the ACB conducts raid on Sub-Registrar Office and seized Rs.2 lakh unaccounted money from the premises on Wednesday. ‘We will also summon the claimants and the executants of the documents that were withheld from delivery, said ACB DSP K.Ramakrishna Prasad.

The ACB officials already grilled Sub Registrar V.Basaveswara Rao and Joint Sub Registrar N.V.Ratnakumar. They seized Rs.74,000 from the scooter of an office attendant and Rs.50,000 from a stamp vendor who is said to be the receiver of the bribe amounts. The officials also seized slips that indicted the bribe amount collected and disbursed.
