Andhra Pradesh created 3,050 jobs in 16 BPO units

Special Chief Secretary and IT Adviser to Chief Minsiter J.A.Chowdary said today that India BPO Promotion under Digital India Programme, the State has been able to create 3,050 jobs in 16 BPO units.
Speaking on the awareness programme organized at Tech Hub by Software Technology Parks of India, he said the main objective of the scheme was to created jobs to 1.5 lakh persons. He said both the Centre and the State governments were keen on promoting digitalization and to encourage more BPO, KPO and analytics firms. He said that the bidding process was on for the next round of allotment and the last date for submission of bids is October 27.
He said that Blockchain conference would be held in the city on October 9 and 10. CEOs from financial technology companies from all over the world would participate. STPI Joint Director M.P.Dubey said under India BPO Promotion Scheme Rs.1 lakh incentive was being offered for creating each seat in addition to viability gap funding.
