Andhra University to host AP Science Congress from November 7

The Andhra University will hold the Andhra Pradesh Science Congress slated to begin on November 7. Arrangements are in full swing for the five-day congress.

This will be the third AP Science Congress after the bifurcation of the State. The first one was jointly hosted by SV University and Sri Padmavati University in Tirupati and the second one was jointly held by Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences, Acharya Nagarjuna University and Krishna University in Vijayawada.

Andhra University Vice Chancellor G.Nageswara Rao said that both the AP Science Congress and the Children’s Science Congress will be held simultaneously and will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on November 7. He will inaugurate the Children Science Congress at the TLN Sabha Hall at around 9am. It will be followed by the inauguration of the APSC at the convocation hall, he said. Over 600 delegates across the Globe and about senior professors and scientists are expected to attend. Around 60 distinguished and endowment lectures will be delivered during the Congress and a number of parallel sessions will be held.

For Children’s Science Congress, about 150 students and 50 teachers from various schools in the State will be attending. He said that the recommendations of the congress will be later submitted to the Central the State governments. It is estimated that about Rs.50 lakh will be spent for hosting the event.
