A ‘Sanchara Pasu Vaidya Seva Kendram’ was inaugurated by District Collector Pravin Kumar today.

Speaking on the occasion Joint Director of Animal Husbandry department N.Koteswara Rao said two mobile veterinary clinics, one each at Paderu and Anakapalli divisions would be stationed to cover three villages a day for six days a week. These mobile clinics would cater the needs of farming community round the clock. It would act as a link between livestock farmers and the Animal Husbandry department.

He said that the State government has proposed to start 45 mobile clinics in the State in PPP mode. The share of the government for these units for five years works out to Rs.33.75 core which includes honorarium and vehicle running cost of Rs.27 crore in addition to drugs and equipment of Rs.6.75 crore.

Each mobile clink would have one veterinary doctor, a para-vet and a driver-cum-attendant.
