Visakhapatnam
The foundation stone for the Wagon POH workshop at Vadlapudi was laid by Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu through a video link from Vijayawada.
Chandrababu Naidu also laid the foundation stone for augmentation of the capacity of the Diesel Loco Shed here.
Divisional Railway Manager Mukul Saran Mathur, Additional DRM Ajay Arora and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao were present at the laying foundation stone programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the DRM said that lot of rail infrastructure development activities were being undertaken by railways and the Wagon POH workshop will reduce the wagon turnaround time and will help railways to generate additional revenue.
