The Hyderabad High Court today directed the Registrar of Andhra University to submit a detailed report on the action taken in the alleged recruitments in violation in both teaching and non-teaching staff.

The Division Bench comprising of acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili issed orders to this effect and posted the case to November 6, 2017.

A Public Interest Litigation was filed by one Umamaheswara Rao stating that government appointed committee submitted a report that there were irregularities in the recruitments during the period 2013-16 and the university authorities have failed to take action on the concerned. The case came before the Division Bench. The advocate for the petitioner P.V.Krishnaiah informed the court that the authorities had not taken any action in the irregular appointments took place during the said period. The advocate for the university Jyoti Prasad informed the court that the university had dismissed the irregular staff appointed and notices have been served to some employees. He informed the court that the appointments in respect of 376 are in order.

The Division Bench questioned the advocate for the University to inform them when the authorities have decided that that so 376 posts are in order.
