IT major Microsoft has selected eight girl students from GITAM university for its Women In Software Engineering programme.

The selected students include Ch.Charishma, Samridhya Lahiri, Anjali Sowgandhika, Teswswini Panda, Radhika Patnaik, Tarigoppula Sai Sahiti, Sappa Sneha and P.Sireesha.

The idea originated from a group of women engineers working at Microsoft India who wanted to help women engineering students shape out successful careers in the technology. It equips select women graduates with latest industry tools, modern programming practices and helps them secure positions in the top software firms.
