Over 250 petrol bunks in the city and district will be participating in the ‘no purchase, no sales’ nationwide protest given by petroleum dealers of public sector oil companies on October 13.

The Petrol Bunk owners in the city said that they will shut down the petrol bunks from October 12 midnight to October 13 midnight to press for various demands including better margins and inclusion of the petroleum products in the GST.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, president of Vizag Petrol Dealers Association M Narayana Reddy said some sales officers of the oil companies have threatened to the dealers not to take part in the nationwide strike. ‘However, we have decided to observe the one-day bandh on October 13. The fuel prices in the State are higher than the neighbouring States due to various taxes, he said.
