The district police selected tribal women for a training course in ‘Home Nursing’ at Chintapalli on Tuesday.
A total of 100 tribal women from Chintapalli, Annavaram, Gudem Kotha Veedhi and Sileru attended for the selections. Of them, 35 were selected and they would be offered 45 day nursing training with the assistance of GMR Rajyalakshmi Foundation. Free food and accommodation would be provided to the selected trainees.
On successful completion of the training, they would be provided jobs under the auspices of the International Red Cross Society in Hyderabad where they could earn Rs.10,000 a month.
