President Ram Nath Kovind today inaugurated the TU 142 Aircraft Museum, the first such museum in the country on the Beach Road in the presence of Governor ESL Narasimhan and Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu.

The President went through the cockpit, machinery, bombs and gunner compartments of the aircraft. Chandrababu Naidu presented TU 142 souvenirs and Pedana ‘Kalamkari Kanduva’ to the President. Chief Adimiral Sunil Lamba, Civil Aviation Minister P.Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of ENC Karambir Singh and other political leaders were present.

President Ram Nath Kovind released a commemorative postage stamp, first day cover and information brochure on Thursday on the eve of 50 years since the induction of INS Kalavari, the first submarine that was inducted into the Indian Navy’s submarine arm.
