State government extends SIT term by two months

The State government has extended the term of Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to look into the alleged land grab and tampering of revenue records in the region by two more months.

A Government Order No.2015 was issued today. The original GO was issued on June 20 and accordingly, the SIT launched the probe on June 28. After its term ended on August 28, the SIT officials had asked the government for two more-month extension.
