GITAM to tie up with Australian universities

To explore research collaboration opportunities between GITAM Deemed to be University and Australian universities, Trade Commissioner of Australian Trade and Investment Commission Peter Coleman visited GITAM today, He met Vice Chancellor M.S.Prasada Rao and discussed some of the key areas such as student exchange and faculty exchange programmes along with others.

NMU stages dharnas at bus depots

Dharnas and protests were conducted at all the 128 RTC bus depots in the State by RTC employees under the aegis of APSRTC National Mazdoor Union today seeking an early resolution to their demands. NMU State general secretary Y.Srinivasa Rao said the protests would be continued on Friday also and the NUM State Executive would meet to chalk out the future course of action.

Seven held on charges of gambling

Based on reliable information, the CTF team raided a gambling den at Lalitha Nagar of Akkayyapalem area and apprehended seven persons who were indulging in gambling. The CTF team also seized around Rs.1.20 lakh cash from their possession. They were handed over to SHO of 4th Town Police Station for further action.
