AU Vice Chancellor inaugurates new seminar hall

Andhra University Vice Chancellor G.Nageswara Rao today inaugurated a seminar hall at Andhra University School of Chemistry. Speaking on the occasion, he said the building was constructed with the financial assistance extended by old students of the university and various organizations.

HPCL holds contests

As part of Swachchata Pakhwada programme, HPCL conducted essay writing, painting and elocution competitions among the trainees at Skill Development Institute, Arilova today. Administrator Sasibhushan Rao and faculty members explained the need for developing creating skills and urged the trainees to popularize hygiene and sanitation in their native villages.

GST seva kendras

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has set up GST Seva kendras in Visakhapatnam and Guntur and Tirupati. The contact details of GST Seva kendras have been uploaded on the website http://www.cbec.gov.in. The kendras connected with GSTN and CBIC portals help traders migrate to GST rule.

ICAI meet on GST

Institute of Cost Accountants of India Visakhapatnam chapter has organized professional development programme on GST Act 2017. Deputy Director (Cost) K.N.Hari Hara Prasad and Central GST Superintendent F.A.Copper explained about the new legislation and its benefits. Secretary M.Ramakrishna welcomed and chairman and MLC P.V.N.Madhav presided.

IIPE first phase admissions over

The first phase of allotment of seats at the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy has been completed. The seats filled include 50 in B.Tech programme of petroleum engineering and 50 for chemical engineering. All the allotted have to pay fees of RS.30,000 on or before July 20 towards confirmation of their acceptance for admission.

Induction meet at IIM-V

The induction and orientation programme of the third batch of students of IIM-Visakhapatnam was held today. The new batch consists of 61 students representing 19 States of which 21% are girl students. Addressing them, IIM-V at AU Campus, P.Madhusudan, CMD of RINL stressed the need to adopt integrated approach, value system and focus on industry expectations to emerge as the best management exports in the country.
