Notebooks distributed

HPCL Visakha Refinery distributed notebooks, school bags and stationery items worth of around Rs.21 lakh to three GVMC High Schools and 19 GVMC Primary Schools on Wednesday. HPCL Chief General Manager A.S.V.Ramanan gave away the items at a function held at GVMC High School, Malkapuram benefitting nearly 3,000 students.

Investiture ceremony

Silver Oaks International School conducted its investiture ceremony recently. The head boy and head girl along with class captains were installed by the chief guest NVN Durga Prasad Rao, former governor of Lions International Club. MD Dhanunjaya Vallabhaneni and Directors P.Sreenivas and Kartheek Chava along with Principal Y.Sunitha were present on the occasion.

Selected constables asked to report for duty

The candidates who were provisionally selected for the post of constables both civil and armed reserve -2017 batch are directed to report on Thursday at 11am. At the CAR Headquarters. The selected candidates are also advised to carry their original certificates, seven passport size photographs and security bond of Rs.5,000 and Rs.100 non-judicial stamp paper.

Swachh campaign

HPCL and Visakhapatnam traffic police conducted ‘Swachchata’ and road safety awareness campaigns for pedestrians and commuters at five major junctions on Wednesday. The campaign was conducted with the help of trainees of Skill Development Institute who displayed banners and placards with slogans and interacted with the people.

Plea to exempt GST on dry fish

AP Matsyakarullu Masyakarimka Sangham today staged a protest against levying of GST on dry fish and asked the government to withdraw it immediately. Sangham general secretary said the introduction of GST on dry fish had led to increase in its price hitting common man.
