AU inks pact with Air Force

Andhra University today signed a MoU with the Indian Air Force. At a programme held at AU Academic Senate Hall, Air Vice-Marshal Sharma and AU Registrar V.Uma Maheswara Rao signed an MoU in the presence of the Vice Chancellor G.Nageswara Rao. The VC said that it would offer PG courses for the officials as part of the AU Defence Joint Programme. As part of the programme, the university offers diploma, UG AND PG courses.

GSIB launches new management courses

GITAM School of International Business inaugurated MBA programmes in international business, international banking and finance and global logistics and supply chain management on Monday. The inaugural function was held at KRC Auditorium.

New Joint Commissioner assumes charge

D.Nagendra Kumar assumed charge as Joint Commissioner of Police today. He joined the police force in 2003 as ranker was conferred as IPS in 2010. He replaces A.S.Khan who has been transferred as IG Coastal Security Force.

Seminar held on GATE

The Gate Academy organized a seminar on how to crack Graduate Aptitude Tet in Engineering at GITAM university on Monday. Founder member of the academy Nitin Rakesh Prasad gave tips on clearing the test with appropriate planning and preparation.

New AU honorary librarian

Professor in the Department of Social Work, AU K.Visweswara Rao was appointed honorary librarian of Dr.V.S.Krishna Library today. He said that he would make efforts to get recognition for the library at the national level.

Excise Inspector suspended

Excise Inspector of Paderu P.Srinivasa Rao was suspended for his alleged involvement in ganja smuggling in the Agency areas of the district. According to Director of Prohibition and Excise K.Venkateswara Rao, a case was filed by the Visakhapatnam district police for his alleged involvement in ganja smuggling in 2016.
