VPT poll khalasis given health cards

Visakhapatnam Port Trust in association with SBI General Insurance Company Ltd., distributed health insurance cards to 480 pool khalasis today. Speaking on the occasion, VPT Chairman M.T.Krishna Babu said the facility would provide an insurance up to Rs.2 lakhs per annum in addition to Rs.3,000 for outside diagnosis. He requested the SBI General Insurance Company to conduct classes for awareness of the health insurance to the pool khalasis.

VPT launches green channel berth

Visakhapatnam Port Trust Chairman M.T.Krishna Babu on Monday inaugurated a domestic cargo shipment from coastal cargo berth also called green channel berth built under the Sagarmala project at a cost of Rs.45.30 crore., m.v.All Cargo Sushila was the first to sail out from the coastal cargo berth with building material. Out of the total cost incurred on developing the berth, the Centre funded Rs.30 crore under Sagarmala. The green channel berth has a length of 185 meters with 10.45 metres width.
