Students to get scholarship
About 400 students of B.V.K.Degree College have qualified for the merit scholarships awarded by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation as a part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.
CPI(M) supports mutton traders’ agitation
The CPI(M) has expressed solidarity with the mutton traders who have been agitating against the shifting of slaughter house from Hanumanthawaka to Marikavalasa. Party leaders led by city secretary B.Gangarao joined the mutton traders t the dharna staged at the Gandhi Statute, GVMC on Thursday.
Sex racket bused
The City Task Force team led by ACP I.Chittibabu raided a house at Sivajipalem and busted a sex racket. Two organizers and two customers were arrested. The victims were rescued. The CTF team seized Rs.4,370 from the organizers. The arrested persons and the seized material were handed over to the MVP Police Station for further action.
AU examinations rescheduled
As Saturday being holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the examinations of the Andhra University have been rescheduled. BA, B.Com., B.Sc., BBA, BCA, BHMCET (first semester) on December 13 , BA, B.Com., B.Sc., BBA, BCA, BHMCET (fifth semester) on December 19, MCA fifth semester on December 11, LLB (fifth semester) on December 8, B.Pharmacy third year (first semester), December 6, MBA (first semester) December 6, MBA (first semester) on December 4 and B.Tech (third year) on December 6.
