55.493 students to take up SSC examination-Free travel allowed in RTC buses

A total of 55, 493 students have registered to take SSC examination in the district.

The SSC examination will be held from March 15 to 29 in 240 centres. While 114 are located in the urban areas, 99 are in rural and 27 are located in the Agency areas. According to the DEO Lingeswar Reddy, arrangements were made for the smooth conduct of the examination. Section 144 will be imposed at the examination centres. 13 flying squads, comprising four members in each team have been constituted. He said that seven in problematic centres have been identified that include three in Araku, two in Paderu and one each in Chintapalli and Anakapalle.

The examination will be held from 9.30am to 12.15pm and students have been advised to reach their centres at least one hour before the scheduled time. Students appearing for the examination can avail of free travel in RTC buses from the place of the residence to the examination centre and back home. They can also travel by Metro Express services by purchasing a combi-ticket. The free travel is valid during the examinations period only.
