City Congress Committee holds protest over injustice done to State

A protest was staged by the City Congress Committee at the Gandhi Statue today to express dissent at the injustice meted out to the State by not granting Special Category Status.

PCC general secretary Dronam Raju Srinivas alleged that the ruling BJP government at the Centre and TDP at the State had cheated the people by failing to implement the election promises. The BJP had promised to grant SCS, special package to North Andhra and Rayalaseema and complete the Polavaram project had filed to implement the same.
